Au4 Newsletter
Issue #1
February 15, 2006
We would like to thank all of you for your support during Au4's hiatus
and we figure it's about time that we fill you in on what they've
been up to since their last performance at the Media Club in 2004.
After a year and a half in the studio, we're excited to announce that
their first CD, "On: Audio" is due for
release later this spring! The album was recorded and mixed by Richard
Dolmat at Digital Sound Magic and mastered by Graemme Brown at Zen
Mastering.
Au4 welcomes two new members to the band, bassist Jason Nickel
and drummer Nathan Wylie, who have brought an added
level of musical integrity and cohesion to the group. This year they
have also been fortunate to work with Vincent Marcone,
(noted for having won the 2005 'CD/DVD Artwork Design of the Year'
Juno for Jakalope's "It Dreams" album), who has dedicated
his talent to designing the "On: Audio" CD cover art (to
view visit: www.myspace.com/au4)
and collaborating on the overhaul of the official Au4 site (www.au4-audio.com).
Due to the overwhelming amount of requests on their MySpace page,
Au4 has decided to expand their temporary website, prior to the new
site’s official launch in April 2006, to include: the band’s
bio, newsletter, mp3s available for download and pre-release sales
of the “On: Audio” CD in the new Au4 Store.
“On: Audio” is scheduled to release in March, and will
be selling for $15.00 CAD. From now until the release date, Au4 is
offering a special, pre-purchase price of $10.00 CAD for all those
interested in saving a few dollars and being first in line to receiving
a copy of the CD. Their album, in its entirety, is still available
in streaming format via the “…listen…” link
on their website. Please note that it will only be accessible ‘till
the CD’s official release.
Remixes by James 'Trek-e' Smith and Paranoid
Jack are already in the works, so we'll be keeping you posted
on their vinyl releases as well.
Once again, thank you for your ongoing support and we look forward
to seeing you in March!
